Audio Mirroring with VoiceMeeter Banana

Most if not all audio devices can regularly output audio to a single output device at a time, like speakers, headphones, and more. Although multiple devices can be connected to your PC at the same time, usually only a single one can work at a time.

This short guide will instruct you on how to set up your audio interface in VoiceMeeter Banana for use with your Woojer on Windows.

Voice Meeter identifies itself to the PC as an audio-playing device. Therefore the process of audio mirroring using Voice Meeter Banana involves two simple stages - configuring Voice Meeter and setting it as the PC's default playing device.

When using a Bluetooth device for audio mirroring, you may experience audio latency. The latency level may be either imperceptible or significat, and mainly depends on the actual hardware.

VoiceMeeter Banana

VoiceMeeter Banana is an Advanced Audio Mixer application endowed with Virtual Audio Device used as Virtual I/o to mix and manage any audio sources from or to any audio devices or applications.

For this example, we are using an Audeze Mobius USB headset and the Woojer Strap 3, both connected to the same computer. The applied method will work with basically any audio device connected to your computer, including USB headphones, USB DAC/AMPs, other Woojer devices, etc.

Installation

Download and install Voice Meeter Banana. After you finish installing it, restart your PC.

Before installing, make sure you uninstalled any previous versions of the software

Audio Mirroring Setup

  1. Make sure your Woojer Strap 3 is turned on.
  2. Connect your Woojer Strap 3 to your PC, using either USB-C, 3.5mm, or Bluetooth connections. You can confirm the device is connected to your PC by clicking on the speaker icon in the system tray on the bottom right of your screen. If you see the "Woojer Series 3" - you're good!
  3. Connect your headphones directly to the PC.

  7. Control the levels individually with the dedicated faders, located at the bottom right of the screen.
Try out changing the mix mode by pressing the top button named "Normal Mode" to get to "Up Mix 6.1", or feel free to experiment with the available EQ options.
